Me & My … Solothurn
Onur Dinc and Rodja ro* Galli used to play against each other on the basketball court in their younger days. Onur by using his bigness and fortitude, ro* by focussing on his swiftness and precision. Nowadays the two artists are playing together, on canvases: Onur with his courage for dimensions and his skillful stroke of the brush, ro* by focussing on wild lines and his exactitude in details.This early summer Onur and ro* took the time of three weeks to paint five canvases (each 2 m X 1,5 m) among the working title «Me & My …». The working process led to five coherent paintings, in which the two artists are playing with levels of techniques and contents, styles, stereotypes, snap-shots, space and effects of light. At last the viewers will be swayed between two perceptions on the paintings – once in a habitual light and once in the light of UV-lamps – and like this find themselves exposed to Onur’s and ro*’s artistic interplay.
The art-project had been exclusively shown since then at the «jungkunst 2009» exhibition in Winterthur (CH) and at the «Very Contemporary 2011» by «SOON Art» in Bern. For a few days the paintings will be shown now spontaneously in a selfmade pop-up gallery spot in Solothurn. Be there at the 23rd of April.

Berns longliving, traditional and beloved (boardsports-)shop
Kitchener Sporting Goods had a little face lifting a few days ago. It’s bigger and nicer, now. Especially because ro* had the opportunity to show some of his older and recent work in the shop for a few weeks, eheh.

cu(t)bus32 squaremeters of cardboard, 10 days, 3 Artists, 1 Topic (BLACK&WHITE) and a lot of ideas, pain & pencils and live painting. This time as well, at the end (23rd of April) visitors were able to get a customized, cut-out slice of the artwork.
pussiesparadise, the official media-partner, gave you even the opportunity to check daily updated views on the work in process. Or you could just step over at the
Loge-Galerie in the courtyard of
PROGR in Bern.
